Following the incident during the league game on Monday, emergency personnel went to Ardrahan in south Co Galway to treat the player. As emergency teams from three ambulances treated the player, the game was called off.

Following the murder of young camogie sensation Kate Moran, the GAA circles in Athenry and Galway are in grief. The young woman, a Monivea resident, died in hospital on Easter Monday after an accident during a competition she was playing in.
Kate, who was in her early twenties, suffered a major head injury while playing Senior Camogie for Athenry versus Ardrahan in the league’s second round on Monday evening, according to Galway Beo.
Since receiving her BFA in acting from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts Conservatory, she has lived and worked in Paris and New York. According to Independent.ie, a “tragic accident” happened during the senior club game on Monday, April 18, prompting the arrival of Garda and emergency services.
