The couple met in Florida, where Dan was serving a two-year service for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) and the latter was completing her nursing training.

Soon after their romance, they married and relocated to Utah to be closer to Ron’s family. Their marriage got worse when Ron’s brother Dan started putting his extreme fundamentalist ideas onto him. 

Ron eventually left his work and turned into a violent husband, which led to their divorce. Dianna has opted to keep her personal life secret at the moment, due to the notoriety her ex-husband gained following the killings.

Ron Lafferty Wikipedia Bio: Who Is The Murderer Priest?

Ron Lafferty was the oldest of eight children born to Watson Leroy Lafferty and Doctors at the Utah State Hospital determined that he was fit to stand trial as per his bio. In 1985, he was convicted, found guilty, and condemned to death.

After a review by the Utah Supreme Court, the penalty was confirmed, and a second appeal to the United States Supreme Court was denied.

The 10th Circuit Court of Appeals revoked the conviction and reversed the lower court’s judgment, concluding that the state and the lower court judge had made mistakes in determining Ron unfit to stand trial.

However, his competency was confirmed, and the court’s judgment left Ron with few choices for appealing his death. He chose to be shot by firing squad but died in prison of natural causes in November 2019

Allen is still a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and he attends services on a daily basis. He was the first testimony in his brother’s murder trial.

In late 1984, he returned home from a construction job to find a murder scene that appeared to have been snatched from the depths of hell, as per the reports mentioned by The Netline.

Brenda Lafferty, his wife, was found in a pool of blood on the kitchen floor, and Erica, their 15-month-old daughter, was found dead in her cot. When the police came and detained Allen, they quickly discovered he wasn’t the one who had killed the people.
