Onstage medical staff initially diagnosed the guitarist’s condition as a “severe medical” problem, but he soon began to improve. As he was pushed offstage and taken to the closest hospital, fans were relieved to see him waving at them.
Santana postponed his Las Vegas residency that was set to begin in December 2021 since he had already undergone a heart operation.
Michael Vrionis, the artist’s representative, reportedly stated that Santana had collapsed due to dehydration and tiredness brought on by his hectic schedule, but was “doing fine” after being seen in the emergency room at McLaren Clarkston Hospital.
