Lt. General Mohan Subramanian Is Appointed As Force Commander Of The UN Mission In South Sudan

Mohan Subramanian, India’s ​Lieutenant General, is appointed the Force Commander in the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS).

For Digital Payment Collection, South Indian Bank Tie-Up With Kerala Forest & Wildlife Dept

To enable digital collection of payments at eco-tourism centres, mobile Vanasree units, Vanasree shops, and eco-shops, the South Indian Bank signed an agreement with Kerala’s Forest and Wildlife Department.

  • To enable digital collection of payments at eco-tourism centres, mobile Vanasree units, Vanasree shops, and eco-shops across the state, the South Indian Bank signed an agreement with Kerala’s Forest and Wildlife Department.

  • The Forest Department set up Vanasree shops and units to market forest products, protect the rich and sensitive ecosystem, conserve and manage biodiversity, and uplift the living standards of the tribals working in the region.

  • Through this partnership, the digital collection system of South Indian Bank will be available at all 124 tourist sites that fall under the Forest Department. 

  • The tie-up will commence with installing 124 POS machines at various eco-tourism centres, mobile Vanasree units, Vanasree shops, and eco-shops under 36 forest department agencies across Kerala.

TiHAN, India’s 1st Autonomous Navigation facility, was inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Science & Technology, Jitendra Singh at the IIT Hyderabad campus.

  • TiHAN Testbed will give a unique platform for high-quality research between academia, industry, and R&D labs at the national and international levels, making India a global leader in autonomous navigation technologies.
