Samir Ali Obituary, Death Cause: 18-year-old Samir Olyad Suleiman Ali was returning home from a soccer game in New Westminster, BC, on Tuesday night when a vehicle fleeing police collided with his vehicle.
The crash occurred at 10th Avenue and 6th Street in Burnaby.
Samir was a beloved member of his community in East Vancouver and the eldest son of a family who, as refugees, immigrated to Canada 5 years ago. He had recently graduated from high school and received a full scholarship to the UBC Kinesiology program to start in the fall.
