A report of an incident made everyone upset who suffered from this tragic car crash incident. According to the updates, the section of Route 22 in Hunterdon Couty was closed for a few hours following a fatal crash incident. The accident took place on Tuesday afternoon. All the reports were provided by a police spokesman. After this incident, all the lanes on Route 22 in both directions closed on the Somerset County border. Well, the reports also suggest that the mishappening took place around 03:30 PM on Tuesday, March 8, after which, the lanes of both directions remained jam. As of 03:53 PM reports, the Eastbound and Westbound lanes of the highway were closed which is between Highway 28 and County Line Road in Branchburg. Now, the lanes have been reopened for the vehicles after the road was cleared. The police is investigating the case that what was the main cause behind this fatal crash. Route 22 Car and Truck Crash
While writing this, we didn’t get many details about this incident. As per the reports, a 26-years-old tow truck driver named Seth Newton lost his life. The sources said that he came out of his truck working to remove a disabled vehicle when he was hit by a westbound SUV. Along with this, police did not share much details about this event, it has not been clear What was the main cause of this crash? Many details are still hidden for all.
Police said in an alert,” Police are on scene investigating a fatal accident. Please avoid the area!!!”. After this attack, the Readington Township and a medical helicopter also rushed to the scene as per Lt. Christopher DeWire. DeWire said,” There is one confirmed fatality at this time”.
The person Newton belonged to Readington was pronounced dead at the time near the Phillips 66 gas station. It is also saddened to hear that another driver of the SUV, Gary Vondrasek, 86, of Lebanon also lost his life in this fatal crash. He was taken to the hospital where he succumed.
A spokesman said the investigators are unclear if Vondrasek died due to his injuries or from a medical episode. Police told that there were no passengers in the vehicle of Vondrasek.
