Rev. Marita Harrell Obituary, Death Cause: 27-year-old Christopher Griggs is now arrested and charged in the murder of 57-year-old Rev. Marita Harrell, a senior pastor at Connections at Metropolitan United Methodist Church.
According to DeKalb County Police Department, Harrell was stabbed while she was trying to help to Griggs at his Panola Road home, before setting her body on fire, and abandoned in a vehicle several miles from his home.
Harrell’s body was found on Wednesday, May 18, near an industrial area outside Lithonia, DeKalb County police spokesman Lt. Shane Smith said Friday.
