Reginald Manual Death: Young Father Shot And Killed At Easter Gathering in Clayton County
A shooting at Easter gathering in Clayton County has left a 19-year-old young father dead.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 200 block of Valley Hill Road at approximately 12:22 a.m., on Sunday, April 17, 2022.
Upon arrival, officers found a 19-year-old man wounded in the driveway of the home with a gunshot wound. He was rushed to the hospital. The victim was able to tell police who shot him before he later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
The victim has been identified as 19-year-old Reginald Manual. He was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Investigators revealed that Manual was at an Easter gathering with his girlfriend and her family when he and his girlfriend’s mother got into an argument.
Police said Manual wanted to remove his child from the home and walked out of the house after the fight.
Jaswan Burroughs, the mother’s boyfriend, was identified as the shooter and charged with malice murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
