Is Jake Wightman Born To Scottish Dad? His Parents

Jake Wightman was born to Geoff and Susan Tooby, but we are not sure if his father is Scottish or not.

Both his parents are former athletes, with Geoff competing in the marathon at the Commonwealth Games and European Championships and Susan representing Team GB in the same event at the 1988 Seoul Olympics.

When Geoff began commentating on his 10-year-old son’s school sports days, he had no idea where the journey would take them both.

“That’s my son, and he’s a world champion!” exclaimed Geoff. The emotionally proud father stated that he had been preparing his son for this moment. ‘Because my wife is his PE teacher, I’ve been doing his school sports day since he was about 11 years old,’ he explained.

Jake expressed his delight at making his father proud after the race. The World Champion exclaimed, ‘I’m glad he showed some emotion!’
