After a 24-hour manhunt, the body of a missing one-year-old boy was located, according to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office. Jose Lara’s body was discovered in a septic tank in Florida. The opening was covered by dirt, weeds, and plywood, according to Sheriff Gator DeLoach. It is being said that the toddler might have stepped on the rotten plywood by accident and fell in. For the time being, the death is being examined as a terrible accident. Let us check the complete details of the horrifying incident in this article.
As per reports, Jose Lara was last seen playing with his younger brother in their backyard at about 1:15 p.m. on Sunday, March 27. His mother brought the other child into the house to wash them. Sadly, Lara was vanished by the time the mother returned. The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office said on Monday, March 28 that hundreds of deputies, three bloodhound teams, and, two air units, were involved in the manhunt.
According to deputies, the homes are near a marsh, and if the search requires, the divers on standby will walk through the water. Wells stated that they can see animals like otters in the water and added that there were snakes and alligators in the swamp as well. Because an Amber Alert can only be issued in cases of kidnapping, no Amber Alert was issued at the time. According to the sheriff’s office, there is currently no evidence to suggest criminal activity.
Wells said that at this moment, there is nothing to suggest kidnapping or any form of wrongdoing on the side of the parents. Lara was last seen wearing blue pants and a blue shirt when he vanished. Let us add that Lara only knew how to speak French. Soon after Lara vanished on March 27, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued a Missing Child Alert. It was reported that deputies discovered the kid’s toys in the woods behind his house.
According to Wells, the officials found a toy truck yesterday, perhaps 20 yards out of the immediate yard, that was identified as a truck that Jose plays with and had played with yesterday during the initial search. However, anything beyond that, any further into the woods, hasn’t been found in terms of clothing or toys. Authorities spoke with sex offenders in the vicinity but found nothing that might link them to the missing youngster. Stay tuned to this space for updates!
