Who was Duane Edwin Campbell?

Duane was born August 28, 1931, on a farm in Hobart, Oklahoma, to James Edwin “Jamie” Campbell and Vera Minnie (Ellis) Campbell.
Duane served in the U.S. Army’s 45th combat battalion during the Korean War. He then attended the University of Oklahoma, graduating with a degree in petroleum engineering. He then worked as an engineer at Natural Gas Pipeline Company for the next 40 years.

Duane was a deeply Christian man who was very active in the Southern Baptist Church, serving as a deacon and teaching Sunday school classes for all his adult life.

On August 31, 1957, he married the love of his life, Patty Jan Davidson, in Bridgeport, Texas. They eventually settled in Fritch, Texas, and called it home for the next 60 years. They had four children together, Ruby Jean “Jeannie” Graves, Stanley Neal Campbell, Timothy Alan Campbell, and Gale Edwin Campbell.
