The former Zimbabwean footballer who played as a midfielder, Charles Yohane sadly passed away at the age of 48 Years. The passing of the former football took place in the month of February 2022 but the date has not been confirmed yet.
According to the sources, the footballer was shot dead by armed carjackers while working as a taxi driver in South Africa. This accident made everyone shocked and the community is mourning the passing of the mid-fielder. He was best known for his 23 appearances for his national side and even featured for the Warriors at their Africa Cup of Nations debut back in 2004.

Since the passing of Charles Yohane made attention among his fans, they couldn’t believe that someone can do this with him. He was a kind person. In his entire career, he also made a bit-part role in their 2006 efforts before announcing his retirement from International Football in 2007.
In his career, he was a member of the Zimbabwean 2004 African Nations Cup team who finished with the bottom of their group in the first round of competition. The team was failed to secure their qualification for the quarter-finals.
The player was born on August 26, 1973, in Rhodesia. After taking his retirement from football, he had been working in Johannesburg as a football coach and also a taxi driver. After this incident took place, his lifeless body was found in Soweto on Monday. According to the reports, he was killed on Saturday night by armed car shooters.
How Did Charles Yohane Die?
His brother, Lewis told the media channel that he was hijacked and they took his car as well. The hijacker shot him in the head. In 1996, he moved from Zimbabwe to South Africa and played for top-flight side Wits and became a captain and made a club record 268 appearances in the field from 1997 to 2006.
Later, he became a coach of the Wits development side but later, he had to leave the job after the club sold its franchise to Tshkhuma Tsha Madzivhandila in 2020. Many big celebrities from the football community paid tribute to him and expressed their condolence to his family.
