Three Central A&M students fighting for life after four were in US 51 crash.

According to Illinois State Police the two-vehicle crash happened at approximately 6:30 a.m. in Assumption near Leafland Street.

Three victims involved in the crash were airlifted to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries, while a fourth victim was transported to hospital in critical condition.

All four victims were identified as Central A&M students.

“We have had a terrible accident involving four of our high school students,” a statement shared via Central A&M High School and Gregory Intermediate School Principal Facebook page announced on Tuesday.

“The school will be open at 9:30 a.m. today for anyone who needs to gather, be together, and pray for our four Raiders. Please keep Raider Nation in your prayers.”

There are currently no details concerning the circumstances surrounding the crash, as investigations are ongoing.
