All four killed in a fiery car accident that happened in Bosque County after a vehicle tried to pass another in a no-passing zone on Saturday night are now identified as Midway High School Senior, Mackenzie Bewley and Midway High alum, Evan Lovejoy, Connally High freshman, Lexi Olvera and her cousin Brouke Olvera.
According to authorities, the crash happened near Whitney at approximately 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, when the driver of a Land Rover SUV lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a tree in an attempt to pass another vehicle in a no-passing zone. It was raining when the crash happened, authorities said.
The car burst into flames following the crash, killing all four occupants.
Investigations are currently ongoing concerning the circumstances surrounding the crash.
