There is no obituary of Barbara ‘Babs’ Thore as Whitney Thore’s mom is still alive after a stroke.
In a recent episode, Whitney’s father, Glenn, informed the family that Babs had suffered a stroke and was rushed to the hospital. The woman has had struggles with her health problems in the past as well, and this seemed like a severe issue.

According to Soap Opera Spy, the 38-year-old’s brother, Hunter, said that he thought his mother had passed away since she wasn’t responsive when he met her. Barbara was in a critical condition, and her situation worsened over time, eventually to the point where Whitney thought her mother wouldn’t survive.
But as strong and brave as she is, Babs recovered from the fatal situation and now seems to be doing well with her family. She recently celebrated her 76th birthday and is in a good situation.
