Bernard Toone was born and raised in Yonkers New York. He attended Gorton High School where he was an outstanding athlete, because he was so great he was able to attend any college that he wanted to and he selected Marquette University. While being at Marquette he helped achieve the school’s first NCAA championship in 1977.
