Check Out The Trailer For Syfy’s US Version Of ‘Being Human’

Honestly, I never watched the UK show much beyond the pilot, but I’m looking forward to this version. It looks a little sillier than the original show, which is probably a good thing, right? We’ll find out when the new Being Human premieres in January.

Here’s a sneak peek of tonight’s Halloween-themed episode of Community featuring brain-eating zombies, a dancing Abed and a cross-dressing Chang (Sexxay!):

Our pals at TV Squad have a fun feature about tonight’s episode. “The Halloween episode is extravagant and insane, and, just like the paintball episode, will either get me promoted or fired,” says series creator Dan Harmon. Can’t wait!

Halloween Week: Robert Englund Gets Creepy Tonight on ‘Chuck’

Halloween Week kicks off tonight as the OG Freddy Krueger, Robert Englund, heads to the Buy More to scare Chuck silly, which, admittedly, isn’t a hard thing to do, on tonight’s Halloween-themed episode of Chuck. Want another reason to watch tonight’s ep? Well here ya go: Chuck will finally come face to face with his long lost mom, played by Linda Hamilton. Need another? Jeff and Lester will eat up a good chunk of the hour goofing around and building a cringe-worthy “aisle of terror” for the Buy More! Now that’s infotainment!

Here’s a fun set video for tonight’s ep, ‘Chuck Versus the Aisle of Terror’ airing at 8 p.m. ET on NBC:

Attention ‘Dollhouse’ Fans: Meet Fran Kranz’s Robot Girlfriends!

Some of the most memorable moments of Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse featured Fran Kranz’s mad genius Topher Brink spewing technobable and hurling thinly-veiled insults at his friends and frenemies. Sadly, Dollhouse and Topher are no more, but you can check out Kranz and a pair of cute robo-girls starring in a marvelous new(ish) video for the song ‘Remains’ by two of the show’s key writers, Maurissa Tancharoen & Jed Whedon (Tancharoen plays the robots). Stream the clip below and enjoy, Dollhouse/Whedon/Kranz junkies:

Now wasn’t that special? This thing has apparently been out since last year, but we only came across it this week. The clip is directed by Anton King. You can download the track at Amazon.

Awesomely Bad Trailer Alert: Felicia Day in Syfy’s ‘Red: Werewolf Hunter’

Emphasis on the awesome, of course, since Syfy, in a brilliant move, has cast The Guild and Dr. Horrible star Felicia Day as an ass-kicking werewolf hunter in its ultraviolent, post-apocalyptic Little Red Riding Hood update, Red: Werewolf Hunter.

Don’t forget to catch Day pumping furry beasties full of silver bullets when the Syfy original movie premieres next week (Oct. 30). Stream the flick’s trailer after the jump to get a taste of the action.

Trek Tuesdays: When Zombie Trekkies Attack!

Star Trek! It’s awesome! OK, sometimes it’s crap (I’m looking at you, ‘Insurrection’), but sometimes it’s the best thing ever (Remember Senator Vreenak’s intense hate of faaaaaakes!?). Hopefully there’s enough Star Trek awesomeness in the world to last us a very, very long time, because every Tuesday, TV DeathRay will celebrate the franchise by revisiting one of our favorite episodes, characters or moments. This week, it’s a twist on the fan fic craze …

In anticipation of our full review of Kevin David Anderson’s and Sam Stall’s Night of the Living Trekkies, here’s the amazing trailer for the book that got our attention last week. Enjoy:

Linkables: The ‘Frak You!’ Edition

I’m skipping the usual nerd TV link roundup today to bring you a special Caprica edition of Linkables because, honestly, I’ve been busy with conference calls all day, and 2.) Caprica is frakkin’ awesomecakes!

Season 1.5 (seriously Syfy, enough with this breaking up the seasons crap already, geeez) premieres Oct. 5 with an episode directed by the great (and ginger) Eric Stoltz. It’s no secret that Caprica is one of our favorite shows here at TV DeathRay, and not just because it’s a Battlestar Galactica spinoff – in fact, I’d argue that anyone could enjoy Caprica without ever watching a single minute of BSG. And now, Syfy has released a great and funny video recap of the first half of season 1, so people who skipped out on the first several episodes can get caught up with the story in less than five minutes.

Head after the jump for Syfy’s Re-Caprica video and for a SPECIAL Caprica-related TREAT: A brilliant puppet parody of Cee Lo Green’s ‘F*ck You’ called ‘Frak You!’ posted on The Node by Clay Robeson. Enjoy!

‘Fringe’ Season 3 Preview: Everyone’s Seeing Double

Season three of Fringe premieres Thurs., Sept. 23 at 9PM ET on Fox. To say I’m looking forward to it would be a serious understatement. It’s the one show that’s held my attention from the moment it premiered in Sept. 2008, and it’s also my teenage son’s favorite show — that’s just a bonus. Oh, the conversations we’ve had about Red Vines, Observers and Cortexiphan kids.

From the beginning, Fringe has drawn comparisons to The X-Files, and while I’m not convinced of the connection, I will say this: Fringe is populated by complex characters, an alt-world storyline that could evolve for years, and a mythology that isn’t dumbed down for viewers.

Premiere Trailer Trifecta: ‘Smallville,’ ‘Caprica,’ and ‘Supernatural’

The fall premieres continue tonight with the return of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia on FX. Were just as excited about seeing Charlie huff more spray paint as the next guy, but the date we’re really looking forward to Sept. 24 – that’s the night two of our favorite shows, Smallville and Supernatural, return to TV!

The TV gods will smile upon us again on Oct. 5, the night Caprica heads back to Syfy to wrap up its first season. Here’s hoping Syfy surprises everyone and gives the show a season 2 renewal. Caprica might not be the most popular show on the cable network, but it’s easily one of the best.

Head after the jump for a feast of new promos and trailers for Smallville, Supernatural and Caprica, and let us know: which fall premiere are you looking forward to the most?
