Lookin’ for a quick dose of nerdy TV news to spice up your breakfast? We’ve got ya covered …

- Wow! I never thought I would envy Howard Wolowitz, but oh how things have changed now that major sci-fi TV icons are lining up to hang with him. Star Trek‘s OG Sulu, George Takei, just signed to guest star on The Big Bang Theory this season. He’ll appear alongside Battlestar Galactica vet Katee Sackhoff as one half of Wolowitz’s conscience. Producers are also trying to get Evil Wil Wheaton back on the show. Sounds like a good year for the Big Bang. [TV Squad]

- Caprica returns to Syfy to wrap up the second half of its first season in January, but the network is still unsure if season two is in the cards. [Fancast]

- Here’s some better news: AMC has renewed The Walking Dead for a second season! The show premieres Halloween night. [IGN]
