‘Warehouse 13′: Are You Over H.G. Wells?

Warehouse 13 put a cap on season 2 with a fun and surprising finale that finally revealed H.G. Wells’ evil agenda. For those who haven’t seen the episode yet, lemme just say *SPOILER ALERT!* … OK, where was I? Oh yeah, with the evil …

It turns out that H.G. is dead inside – a result of her daughter’s murder and finding out that the world has gotten stupider and uglier since the late 1800s. So what’s a super sexy, time traveling and ultimately depraved literary figure to do? Why, try to kill everyone by spawning a new ice age with a magical trident, of course!

Artie attempted to take H.G. down by shooting her in the shoulder (with a gun that actually shot real bullets instead of crinkly laser beams), but the Corsican vest, which deflected all attacks and sent them hurling back at the attacker, protected her. Thankfully, Myka was able to talk H.G. down in a dark and somewhat disturbing scene involving the same gun jammed against Myka’s forehead.

Everyone survived the ep, and the Regent showed up to escort H.G. to a secret holding facility seemingly far, far away from the Warehouse and the Bronze Sector. So H.G. is still alive, which leaves the door open for the character to return in season 3 (and yes, there’s going to be a season 3, just ask Eddie McClintock!). Here’s a question: Are you over H.G. Wells or do you want to see her return to the show next season?

Jaime Murray did a great job with the role, but I enjoyed H.G. the most when she was acting like a good guy. I’m on the fence about whether or not she should return now that she’s shown her true darker colors. So whatta you say, dear reader? Do you want a second helping of Wells on Warehouse 13 or was one serving enough?

  1. You’re right. H.G. Wells was more interesting when she was good. It’s weird, I’ve never really thought that about a character before.

  2. I’d like to see H.G. reform. She’s an awesome character and would be a great hero. And you can’t hate her like other villains, making her rather ineffectual as one. I think they should have her work through her demons.
